Giving Back to the Women of Montréal

IGCS 2026 Sustainability Mission — in partnership with La Fondation du refuge pour femmes Chez Doris.

Every year, IGCS uses its Annual Global Meeting as an opportunity to give something back to the city that hosts us. This year in Montréal, we’re proud to partner with La Fondation du refuge pour femmes Chez Doris, a shelter and resource centre supporting women experiencing homelessness and vulnerability since 1977.

As physicians dedicated to caring for women, we know that care doesn’t stop at the clinic door. That’s why we’re inviting every IGCS 2026 delegate to help us collect new, unopened personal care items for the women Chez Doris serves.

What to bring:

  • Body wash
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Hair detangler (if possible)
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Body lotion
  • Sunscreen
  • Deodorant
  • Sanitary pads
  • Hand soap
  • Lip balm
  • Hairbrushes or combs
  • Dental floss
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Tissues or wet wipes

No specific brand is required — just make sure items are new, unused, and sealed.

Where to drop off:

Bring your donations to the Registration Desk any time during the meeting, October 1–3.

How it's celebrated:

Donations will be presented to Chez Doris live on stage at the IGCS 2026 Closing Ceremony on October 3, where representatives from Chez Doris will join us to accept the gifts and celebrate this collaboration with photos alongside IGCS members and delegates.

Thank you for helping IGCS give back to the women of Montréal.
