As part of IGCS 2026, we are excited to introduce a dedicated, hands-on workshop on Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) and Image-Guided Brachytherapy (IGBT).
Friday, October 2
08:00 – 17:30
Designed specifically for radiation oncologists seeking to elevate their clinical practice and deliver cutting-edge care. The radiation contouring workshop is in partnership with the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS) and the Federation of Asian Organizations for Radiation Oncology (FARO).
Session Description
The workshop will cover contemporary management of primary and recurrent vaginal cancers, focusing on EBRT and brachytherapy for target delineation and treatment planning. It includes practical insights through expert-led talks and an interactive contouring workshop. Advances in management of cervix cancer, such as integration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and systemic agents with advanced radiation and brachytherapy techniques will be discussed.
The program concludes with global perspectives and expert panel discussions on implementing molecular-guided treatment selection for endometrial cancer and will bring a regional and global perspective to implementation of advances in gynecological cancer care.
Learning Objectives
- Implementing high quality RT and Brachytherapy in primary and recurrent vaginal cancers.
- Combining Systemic Agents with state-of-the-art image guided intensity modulated radiotherapy and MRI guided intracavitary-interstitia brachytherapy
- Implementing molecular classification of endometrial cancer in the real world: Regional Perspectives
What You’ll Learn:
- Advanced techniques in external radiation and brachytherapy for cervical cancer
- Resource-adapted strategies for global implementation
- Special emphasis on care for women living with HIV and cervical cancer
Program coming soon.
Registration
Registration for the workshop is included with IGCS 2026 Annual Global Meeting registration.
When registering for IGCS 2026, check the box indicating your interest in attending the workshop. Those who check the box will be reached out by IGCS with more information about attending the workshop.
Workshop space is limited and checking the box when completing your registration does not guarantee a spot to the workshop.
Abstract Submission
Submit an abstract on a radiation oncology topic to showcase your research to a global radiation oncology community dedicated to advancing gynecologic cancer care. IGCS welcomes new data, previously published and updated data, films (brachytherapy procedure videos), and trials-in-progress for abstract consideration.
Abstract submission deadline is May 4 at 23:59 PM ET.
- Please read the submission guidelines before submitting your abstract.
- Please select “Clinical Disciplines” >> “Radiation Oncology” from the list of topics for your abstract. Abstracts that are not related to radiation oncology will not be considered for presentation.
